Cash Donations

During its first two years of operation, the Mason Woods Charitable Foundation, Inc. donated over $7,000 in the following areas:

  • Over $4,000 in food gift cards and food costs to cancer families
  • Over $4,000 in gas cards to families in need
  • Over $3,700 in crafts and supplies for use on J5 (oncology floor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio).
  • The foundation also provides special meals for the inpatients, their families, and staff for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter and at other times throughout the year. 
  • Along with Raising Cane's Chicken, Mason's Foundation serves a meal to all patients, families, and staff on J5 at Nationwide Children's Hospital on the first Tuesday night of each month.
  • The foundation also sponsors an annual "Santa Shop" on J5 so that patients can choose and wrap gifts to give to their families without leaving the hospital to shop!

Material Donations

Material donations are quickly becoming the largest component of the Mason Woods Charitable Foundation, Inc. While there is no way to put a dollar value on these goods, my estimate for donated goods during the past two years would be over $100,000!

We accept donations of new goods from corporations, schools, churches, and other groups. These items such as video games, DVD’s, board games, books, card games, crafts, toys, and personal care products make a child’s stay at the hospital much more tolerable!

Thanks to New Albany Elementary school's fourth grade class!  They recently chose the Mason Woods Charitable Foundation as a recipient of over $2,600 in funds that they raised during their recent entrepeneur day!!!  Thanks, also, to Chloe for the nomination!
